该文在国家自然科学基金及广东省自然科学基金资助下，首次将可拓学的方法引入外感病病因学的研究当中，证明了流感病的发病和气候因素，环境因素，心理因素，学历因素，生活习惯的密切关系，为流感病的预防及疫情预警提供了新的科学依据。
